A good order appointment starts in your stock system, not in the showroom. The figures that make the selection faster and safer.
Most order appointments that end up unsatisfying do not fail on the collection. They fail because the conversation is about taste where it should be about numbers. Arrive with five figures and you will order in half the time, and order better.
First: last season’s sell-through, broken down by product group rather than by brand. Whether shoppers turned faster than crossbody bags tells us more about your floor than any brand statistic.
Second: your remaining stock. What is still sitting in the back is the most honest account of where the last order went too wide.
Third: your actual retail price points, not your intended ones. In most stores there is a gap between the two, and that gap is where the buying mistakes happen.
Fourth: the floor in metres, and how many pieces you can present visibly on it. And fifth: the two or three models customers have asked for recently that you could not supply.
That is all it takes. Bring those five and you will not get a tour of the collection from us, you will get a recommendation.
